Amazon will start selling OnePlus 5 starting today at 4:30 PM.

As a result of this, agitated iPhone 7 Plus fans are championing for Apple to sue OnePlus for copying the design of the phone despite the Chinese company claiming that it drew inspiration from its parent company's Oppo R11.

Back when OnePlus first entered the smartphone world with the original OnePlus One, the company's focus was on providing premium features at an affordable price.

The OnePlus 5 has a 16 MP wide camera f/1.7 along with a 20 MP tele camera with an f/2.6 both of these have been organized to utilize a 2x optical lossless zoom much like the iPhone 7 Plus. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Optic AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401ppi (pixels per inch) and 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The OnePlus 5 was announced yesterday during an online keynote presentation. OnePlus, aspiring to be a serious and competitive phone slinger, naturally did the same.

OnePlus has finally unveiled the OnePlus 5, its new Android-powered smartphone with a dual-lens camera and it's own brand of fast charging - "dash charge". Apart from these two versions, we know that the OnePlus 5 will be sold in two colour variants: Midnight Black and Slate Grey. The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) dual-standby smartphone runs OxygenOS, based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Further, there are different modes including Portrait Mode, Pro Mode with the histogram. But, if it's going to go this way, perhaps its time for OnePlus to ditch its "Never Settle" mantra because the OnePlus 5 comes with plenty of settlements.

South African court rules in secret ballot case against Zuma
However, it remains the call of parliament, and by implication, Mbete, whether the vote will take place by secret ballot or not. The application was brought by the UDM after Zuma removed Pravin Gordhan as finance minister, and his deputy Mcebisi Jonas.

The model with 6GB of memory and 64 GB of storage is priced at £449 (the 8 GB / 128 GB model is £499).

From the front, the OnePlus 5 (right) also looks strikingly similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. This combined with the Snapdragon 835 processor and faster UFS 2.1 two-lane storage should translate to a blazing fast performance.

The OnePlus 5 comes with the flagship chipset Snapdragon 835 coupled with Adreno 540.

On the front a 16MP camera, should enable solid video calling and the odd "selfie" if one is that way inclined. It comes with Smart Capture, OnePlus' custom software paired with a custom-made Sony IMX 398 image sensor to improve the imaging quality and clarity.

OnePlus 5 connectivity options include 4G LTE/VoLTE (with VoLTE), dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C (v2.0). The LED flash is also similarly placed and so is the logo. After spending a week with the phone, I found it to be solid-it's just as well-built as the company's previous models, and has the same useful features, like quick charging and a tap-to-wake screen.
