Announced late previous year, Dynasty Warriors 9 finally has some footage to show off its true generation leap. This trailer follows up on the initial announcement back in December, and gives us our first proper look at how the game runs on PS4 (it's pretty comfortably the best looking DW ever, judging by this footage). Dynasty Warriors usually presents a series of large levels, but having one huge persistent open world should represent a fairly major structural change.
While Dynasty Warriors 9 is confirmed for PlayStation 4 in Japan, platforms and a release window in North America and Europe will be unveiled "in the coming months". Players will now be able to perform three different moves: Trigger Attacks, Flow Attacks and Finish Attacks.
Augmenting the series' first true open world is another immersive innovation introduced in Dynasty Warriors 9: the Interactive Action system.

Spanish prosecutors have filed a lawsuit against the player accusing him of defrauding tax authorities of 14.7 million euros. The four-time World Footballer of the Year has helped Real win the Champions League three times and La Liga twice.
We also know that all 83 playable characters from Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires will feature here, but we should also expect some new faces. Trigger Attacks allow players to create the start of an explosive combo, leading to Flow Attacks, which adapt to the enemy's current state.
A successfully executed combo can then be punctuated with a devastating Finish Attack, landing a huge final blow that wipes out any foes caught within its radius. These new actions offer a breadth of new possibilities for players to take advantage of while travelling around third-century China, or when caught in the heat of battle!'
