The boxer who knocked out Tim Hague, the former MMA fighter and elementary school teacher who died following a match in Edmonton, is speaking out. "He was surrounded by family, listening to his favourite songs".

"I spoke to the Hague family in private and offered my condolences and I wanted to do the same now publicly", Braidwood said in the post on his Instagram account.

Hague, a former mixed martial arts fighter, was knocked down three times before a left uppercut in the second round put him on the canvas and the fight was called off.

Hague, whose nickname was The Thrashing Machine, taught Grade 4 English at Ecole Bellevue School.

In the video, Braidwood thanks people for their words of support. "I will fight for us both now, I know that's what you would have wanted".

"He said he wanted to keep fighting so we kept fighting".

United States moves to reassure Qatar with arms sale, joint exercise
The State Department a year ago said it had authorized the sale of 72 F-15 Strike Eagle jets to Qatar . Qatar is also home to Al-Udeid, the U.S. military's largest base in the Middle East.

"Everybody saw me celebrating but nobody saw me pick up Tim and carry him to the corner and tell him that I love him".

"I was hoping Tim would stop it himself, if he doesn't we have to finish it until it's done, it is nobody's fault", Braidwood said.

"I would've done the same thing, and he would've done the same thing to me, trust me", he said in the CTV interview.

"It was fine. Adam is a [professionally] athlete like Tim was". Tim knew the risks of the sport. "He was a kind hearted warrior man, that's it". The city also wants a third-party review of the incident.

Hague (1-3 as a boxer, 21-13 in MMA), was a heavy underdog who accepted the fight on only two-weeks notice.

As the Edmonton Combative Sports Commission (ECSC) is under the jurisdiction of the city of Edmonton, Budd revealed that the city's attempt to delve into what really happened is aimed at determining what works well and what does not so that improvements can be delivered upon recommendations that will be made. His death was announced Sunday by his sister Jackie Neil.
