Warmbier was returned to OH on June 13 after being held for more than 17 months. After years of openly crossing the border, he was detained in October 2015, accused of being a spy for South Korea and sentenced to 10 years of hard labor.

The tour operators who organized Otto Warmbier's fateful trip to North Korea said Tuesday that they were "reeling with shock over his death" and that they consequently will no longer take US citizens to the country.

Trump also defended his decision not to label China a currency manipulator - something he pledged during the campaign - due to their work on North Korea.
