That's because the first photos of the Stonic have leaked online (above and below) as Spanish website Autodato publish the Stonic in all its glory, but they also claim the Stonic is due to be revealed in Amsterdam this week.
The images of the Kia Stonic published ahead of the SUV's official reveal at an event in Amsterdam later this week, and it is timed carefully to the unveiling of the Hyundai Kona, which was announced just last week.
And while the Stonic's sister auto, the Hyundai Kona, has a distinctive, multifaceted front end, the Stonic is more conventional, featuring the same "Tiger Nose" grille seen on many other modern Kias.
Based on the Rio supermini platform, the Stonic features familiar Kia styling, such as the "tiger nose" grille, and will bring a "Targa"-style roof that enables buyers to choose a two-tone paint finish, inspired by the design of the 2013 Kia Provo concept". Customers will have the option to personalize the interior similar to the exterior, with Kia offering a wide variety of bright color packs.

The Stonic will be available with a range of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, all paired with a manual gearbox.
This means 1.0-litre three-cylinder, 1.25-litre and 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engines, and a 1.4-litre diesel for higher-end cars, and specs ranging from entry-level 1 to range-topping 3 and GT-Line cars.
The Stonic won't win any prizes for a revolutionary dashboard layout, but it looks sensible, comfortable and modern enough in there. Competition includes the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Ford Ecosport.
