And though Trump has said that he planned to fire Comey regardless of the recommendation, he appeared to take a shot at his appointee on Twitter on Friday.
"The vice president is focused entirely on his duties and promoting the president's agenda and looks forward to a swift conclusion of this matter".

Earlier tonight the Post reported Vice President Mike Pence has retained private counsel to help him in the Russian Federation probe.
The probe into Kushner's business dealings is part of the special counsel's investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election.
