The jurors have asked the judge to re-read Cosby's decade-old comments about his relationship with Andrea Constand, who has accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2004, and have revisited the testimony of a Canadian police officer who took the initial report from Constand in 2005. They'll resume Wednesday morning. One slunk down in his seat, looking angry.
She sued Cosby in 2005 where he testified as part of that lawsuit, he later settled the case for a sum that was undisclosed.
Steven T. O'Neill, the Montgomery County judge overseeing the case, has pushed the jury hard, bringing them to the courthouse before 9 am, and keeping them working well past dark on the first two nights of deliberation.
Constand was challenged by Angela Agrusa, one of Cosby's attorneys.
In closing statements, they portrayed the actor as a sexual predator who deliberately drugged Constand so she would be unable to resist. The comedian said in depositions that he gave her the common allergy medication Benadryl - calling the pills her "friends" without disclosing their substance - and insisted the encounter was consensual.
Prosecutors say his prior use of Quaaludes shows that Cosby had knowledge of what he was doing when he gave her the pills. "It's nothing that I take lightly or that I condone in any way shape or form, but he's still a person, he's still a husband, a parent, someone's son", she continued. In the deposition, the funnyman star confessed to obtaining strong sedatives to hand out to females he wanted to have sex with, although he insisted he didn't use them when he is alleged to have assaulted Constand. Only Constand's claims are recent enough to have led to criminal charges.
Pulliam went on to proclaim in her Today interview that should Cosby be found guilty of rape, she'll reassess her feelings about her former television father after the trial and not a moment before, as much as the public appears to have already done. "He couldn't escape that", Kline said.

But if Cosby is convicted, even on one count, Montgomery County prosecutors will probably petition for his $1 million bail to be overturned and that he be detained into custody immediately. He made some powerful statements that people either said, 'Yeah, Amen, ' or 'That's not the way we are'.
Cosby has been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault, each of which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine, but no minimum.
"So it's always hard to look under the hood and see the reality of our lives", Kline said.
"I can't speak to this exact moment, but my interactions with him, he's been in good spirits".
"I was mistaken", she said. I pray for everybody here that justice be done, but that there be some mercy, too, right?
The AP does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand has done.
