The new season's fixtures which were announced on Wednesday morning saw Antonio Conte's team given a Stamford Bridge opener on the weekend of August 12/13.
The Red Devils do not face any of the sides which finished above them last season until October 2, when Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will provide a stern test of Mourinho's men at Anfield. Arsenal will then face Brighton (h), Everton (a), Manchester City (a), Burnley (a) and Southampton at St. Mary's after their European travels.
Tottenham, which was runner-up to Chelsea last season, is playing its home games in the Premier League at Wembley this season while a new stadium is being constructed on the site of the club's old White Hart Lane. Their first home game against a major side is on November 18 when Tottenham visit the Emirates.
It is a deal that leaves Brighton, who are preparing for life in the Premier League after promotion in 2016/17, looking for their first choice between the sticks for the upcoming season.
