The Golden State Warriors captured their second National Basketball Association championship in three years last night, preventing LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers from winning back-to-back titles.
On Monday night, the Warriors won the NBA Finals with a 129-120 win against the Cavaliers, but it was Kevin Durant's mother, Wanda Durant, who stole the show in the celebrations afterward.
But that idea fizzled fast when the Warriors opened with a pair of lopsided wins at home, fought back late to steal the next game in Cleveland and then, after dropping their first game of the postseason, closed out the series at home.
Iguodala chipped in with 20 points off the bench and Draymond Green had a 10-point, 12-rebound double-double for the Warriors, who topped 100 points for the 17th straight time in the playoffs.
"They're going to be around for a while", Cavaliers forward LeBron James said after suffering his second Finals defeat in three years to a Warriors team that went 16-1 in the playoffs.
