Speaking to reporters after Winstron's annual shareholders' meeting, company CEO Robert Hwang talked about the increased difficulty in manufacturing new iPhones compared to previous models.
As for how Apple's wireless charging implementation will function, well, that remains to be seen.
Wistron, which Apple recently began working with in an effort to keep prices down, confirmed that Apple's next-generation iPhone models will be "waterproof" and include a wireless charging function, according to Japanese website Nikkei Asian Review.
The iPhone 8 won't be the only Apple handset to offer wireless charging this year, according to one of the companies it uses to assemble the device.

And we've just got some word that wireless charging for the iPhone 8 really might happen, and from a guy actually building iPhones, no less.
Looking to up their game and make some significant changes to the design and performance of the iPhone, Apple will apparently be introducing wireless charging to the upcoming iPhone 8 (which might be called the iPhone X). It is expected to be a premium model that sits above the iPhone 7S Plus.
Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are both water-resistant but not waterproof, which means they can be used in the rain and may survive accidental drops into the water, but aren't built to withstand prolonged periods of exposure.
