The 19-year-old Heintz was unresponsive when firefighters were called to Dix Stadium at just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

The incoming freshman, a member of the KSU's 2017 recruiting class, was a 6-foot-4, 275-pound offensive tackle. He died after the second day of the Golden Flashes' football camp.

"Today, the Kent State University family mourns the tragic loss of one of our student-athletes, freshman football player Tyler Heintz", the statement reads.

Heintz, an offensive lineman, was taken to a local hospital after conditioning drills this morning.

His cause of death is still unknown. He was planning to study marketing and entrepreneurship in Kent State's college of business administration, according to a school release.

Can analysts adopt a bullish outlook for Sophos Group PLC (LON:SOPH)?
The company reported $0.99 earnings per share for the quarter, beating the Thomson Reuters' consensus estimate of $0.38 by $0.61. Berenberg now has a GBX 3225.00 target price on the 1.53 billion GBP market cap company or 6.40% upside potential.

Kent State has not confirmed Heintz's death at this time. He was from Kenton, Ohio, about two and a half hours away from the university.

DePerro said Heintz' body has been transferred to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office, where an autopsy was scheduled to be completed Wednesday.

The Kenton Football 2017 Twitter page said "Shocked and bewildered is all we can say". Investigators are now in the process of collecting hospital records, gathering reports of any medical history, and interviewing any players who was with Heintz at the time he collapsed. Results could take weeks while they search for a definitive cause.

KentWired talked to several players who were at the practice with Heintz.

Heintz is the second Kent State student to die in three days. Life is way too short. He also writes for Screen Rant, Little White Lies, and PopMatters.
