Akhilesh Yadav may have lost power in Uttar Pradesh, but he can claim that he is ruling the roost in BJP-ruled Gujarat's Chhota Udaipur.

In an embarrasing situation for the Gujarat government, about 12,000 school bags with image of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and a tagline of "Khoob Padhao, Khoob Badhao", were distributed in state government schools.

This year too, over 12,000 bags were distributed in Chhota Udepur with a sticker carrying logo Jilla Shikshan Shakha (District Education Department), Chhota Udepur, 2017-18. When contacted, Sunaina Tomar, principal secretary, state education (school) department, said, "We will order a formal inquiry into the matter and take necessary action".

Akhilesh Yadav government during his tenure had distributed bags, laptops and other study material and even dinner plates to school children in Uttar Pradesh. "I rubbed it and realised there was something printed under the black patch", said Pravin Baria, a parent, who washed off the black paint to find the smiling face of the former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav printed on the bag, along with the slogan "khoob padho, khoob badho".

Akhilesh's SP government is said to have sanctioned over 1.8 crore school bags for distribution to school children in the a year ago. These had been procured by the district panchayat through an e-tender from a Surat-based company, said District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) Mahesh Prajapati.

Dennis Rodman Heads To North Korea
It is common for sections of tourist hotels to be reserved for North Korean staff and off-limits to foreigners. Rodman added in the tweet that he would "discuss my mission upon my return to the U.S. ".

A senior district official also claimed that the bags are of poor quality and that Surat firm had outsourced the manufacturing of bags to a second firm.

"Instead of appointing teachers, the government is distributing recycled bags..."

This indicated that the bags had been made to be distributed to children in UP by the erstwhile Samajwadi Party government, reports NDTV. The Opposition Congress took this opportunity to take a swipe at the BJP government.

The state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama announced an enquiry in to the matter and promised "action" against those responsible for faux pas.
