Now 34 years old and six years removed from his last National Football League appearance, Young is likely to miss at least the first three games of the CFL season.

Roughriders coach Chris Jones on Monday said Young would miss 4-6 weeks while recovering.

The six-foot-five, 232-pound Young is attempting a comeback with the CFL club.

The team didn't realize how serious the injury was until Young underwent a series of medical tests on the hamstring. It had been expected he would see a large amount of playing time in the pre-season game versus Winnipeg before the injury happened. "It was a lot worse than we envisioned".

Liverpool hope to seal Mohamed Salah deal
Liverpool fans are now debating whether the author of this Salah report , Guido D'Ubaldo, is one they can trust. The Serie A club are said to be looking for around £44million (€50m) for the former Chelsea misfit.

In addition to longtime CFL mainstay Kevin Glenn, Young was competing with former North Carolina quarterback Marquise Williams for a spot on the Saskatchewan roster, but the injury could effectively end that opportunity.

The Roughriders put Young on their negotiation list February 2 and signed him without any up-front money on a two-year deal, so Saskatchewan easily could part ways with Young if they choose to do so.

Young was injured at a training camp practice last Tuesday when he ran for a first down during play.
