"Dear Evan Hansen", the touching, heartfelt musical about young outsiders, became very popular as the Tony Awards rumbled toward its conclusion, winning statuettes for best book, score, orchestrations and best featured actress.

Living up to her bawdy reputation, Midler delivered a profanity-laced speech to the star-laden audience at Radio City Music Hall, chastising the orchestra as its music welled when she spoke at length.

Instead, the night belonged to "Dear Evan Hansen", a show that centers on a profoundly lonely 17-year-old who fabricates a prior friendship with a classmate who has just committed suicide.

Best Revival of a Musical: "Hello, Dolly!".

University of ME graduate Donald Holder was also nominated in the lighting category for "Oslo", which won the award for best play.

Former "Roseanne" star Metcalf won her first Tony after several nominations, taking best actress in a play for "A Doll's House, Part 2", a lively, fast-paced sequel to the Henrik Ibsen classic.

Authorities rushed to the scene shortly after 8 a.m. after a woman ran out and called 911 from another business across the street. Demings also said the Sheriff's Office responded to Fiamma about three years ago, when Neumann allegedly battered an employee.

In the musical categories, Ben Platt took home the award for Best Leading Actor for "Dear Evan Hansen" and Bette Midler won Best Leading Actress for her role in "Hello, Dolly!". Kevin Kline won his third for his performance in the revival of "Present Laughter".

Other show highlights will be the return of the Rockettes on a Tony stage after 13 years and the decision to have all four playwrights nominated for best play Tonys appear to present their works. "There's so much for everyone to see", she said.

First-time Tonys host Kevin Spacey kicked off the show with a medley of songs referencing his self-doubt about successfully hosting the annual awards show compared to past hosts Neil Patrick Harris, James Corden or Hugh Jackman.

"Come From Away", the Canadian musical won just one: for best direction, by Christopher Ashley. Spacey, dressed as Close, sang "I'm coming out." and then paused, tantalizingly.

And as expected, Manhattan Theater Club's revival of August Wilson's "Jitney" won the Tony for revival of a play, even though it technically was the first Broadway production of the 1982 work.

Broadway's best and brightest couldn't let the Tony Awards go by without getting in a few jabs at Washington, with "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert leading the charge.
