Comey raises concerns about Loretta Lynch's independence

James Comey's communications with President Trump may have been the focus of the Thursday Senate hearing, but the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director also talked at length about another interesting exchange he had. Towards the end of the two and half hour questioning, it was McCain's turn to ask his questions, and he focused on two issues.

He told the committee that the meeting between Bill Clinton and Lynch on tarmac of the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport last summer was what led his decision to make public the agency reopening its investigation into the former secretary of state's email.

"I think the biggest loser that came out of that was Loretta Lynch, and nobody saw that coming at all", DeWit said.

Comey's testimony may not have been quite what those suffering the effects of Trump Derangement Syndrome had in mind, but the U.S. Senate's number one Trump hater, John McCain, added some much-needed comic relief to the proceedings.

But the silver lining for McCain is that the Diamondbacks won, 7-4. He referred to "President Comey", and at times looked confused and frustrated with Comey's answers. Something about John McCain questioning Comey seemed off, and it was very clear to the viewers.

If McCain's post-hearing statement obscures the distinction between what Comey knew about Clinton's intentions and what we know about Trump's, his questions to Comey during the hearing blurred the situation beyond recognition.

Responding to the development, Sebastian, who co-directed the film with NC Fazil , said: "Normally, the approval of judges is considered as the criteria for screening.

The call follows Comey's claim during a Senate committee hearing that Lynch once directed him to describe the email probe as a "matter" and not an "investigation" - an alleged intervention Comey said made him "queasy".

Comey again tried to explain that he discussed the findings of the Clinton investigation only after it was completed.

Yet, after all of these inferred, admittedly subjective conclusions, not one Republican asked Mr. Comey if the personal negative feelings he held about the character of President Trump, that the President was a liar, might serve to color his impression of the meetings, especially since there is no reported history of Trump ever having lied to Comey or to anyone Comey knows. Comey replied that he was confused.

Other senators' faces as McCain talks.

At this moment, there is no information to suggest any of the above.

"Well", said a bewildered McCain, "at least in the minds of this member, there's a whole lot of questions remaining about what went on, particularly considering the fact that as you mentioned, it's a, quote, big deal as to what went on during the campaign, so I'm glad you concluded that part of the investigation, but I think that the American people have a whole lot of questions out there, particularly since you just emphasized the role that Russian Federation played. Maybe going forward I shouldn't stay up late watching the Diamondbacks night games", he said. "They are trying to close their eyes to the impact of this investigation". Viewers took to social media to voice their concerns about McCain's mental health while a few defended him, saying that people should go easy on him as he is old and had been tortured during his days as a POW.
