President Donald Trump denied on Friday that he had told then-FBI chief James Comey he hoped Comey could let go an investigation into a former national security adviser, adding he was willing to give his version of events under oath.
President Trump said he is "100%" willing to testify under oath about his dealings with fired FBI Director James Comey, after disputing statements Comey made during his Thursday Senate testimony.
Pundits and legal experts have been divided on whether Trump's actions rose to the level of obstruction of justice, a potentially impeachable offense, while Comey said that decision was now in the hands of Mueller, who is also a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director.
"No collusion, no obstruction", Trump told a White House press conference in reference to the twin controversies dogging his administration - accusations his aides colluded with the Russian effort to tilt the vote, and that he sought to block a probe related to the matter. Disseminating unclassified information is generally not considered leaking, CNN said, and Mr Trump did not assert executive privilege over Mr Comey's testimony. I'm not going to say, I want you to pledge allegiance.
There would be "nothing wrong if I did say" something regarding Flynn, Trump said "according to everybody I read today". "I didn't say under oath - I hardly know the man".
Trump wouldn't answer, saying only that he would address any possible tapes "over a fairly short period of time" and "you're going to be very disappointed when you hear the answer, don't worry".
Derrick Lewis "Picked" Mark Hunt For His Next Opponent
Brunson was on a streak of his own until running into another Australian fighter in Robert Whitaker last November. Hunt is always risky , but I think Lewis will do a better job of dictating the pace and style of the fight.
Later Friday, Trump declined to rule out his previous claim that there may be tapes of his conversations with Comey. The committee also sent a letter to White House Counsel Don McGahn asking that he inform the committee whether the White House has ever had any recordings or memos of Comey's conversations with Trump.
He also accused Qatar, a key US military partner, of funding terrorism "at a very high level", and said solving the problem in the tiny Persian Gulf nation could be "the beginning of the end of terrorism".
Trump also saluted the United States' relationship with Romania and praised its contribution to the global fight against terror.
"But Comey's testimony about the President was also damaging". Tillerson had called on the Arab nations to immediately ease their blockade on Qatar.
Karl: So, he said those things under oath. I mean, think of it.
Trump branded Comey a "leaker" for indirectly providing to reporters the contents of memos he wrote after their private conversations.
