Security agencies on Tuesday searched the hotel in Mujahidabad area in Karachi owned by an uncle of Khuram Shazad Butt, 27, who was among the three terrorists shot dead by police after their Saturday night terror.
Further reports indicate Butt's work gave him access to tunnels under the Houses of Parliament from the Westminster Underground Station - despite the fact he had been investigated for terror links by MI5 and even been featured on a Channel 4 documentary about British-based Islamists titled 'The Jihadis Next Door'.
In August 2015, British police arrested Choudary himself after the preacher slipped up by crossing the line and inciting support for a proscribed terrorist organization - ISIS - in lectures which were published online, as well as signing a document pledging allegiance to the group, also posted online. The documentary showed Butt displaying the Black Standard, a flag associated with the Islamic State (IS, Formerly ISIS/ISIL), in London's Regent Park.
Sidhu observed Butt and Rumayah standing together at al-Muhajiroun protests in 2014.
"I did my bit, I know a lot of other people did their bit, but the authorities did not do their bit", he concluded.
The difficulty in building a case against al-Muhajiroun members was for years intensely frustrating to British counterterrorism officials, who were keenly aware of the effect proselytizers such as Choudary were having on a generation of young British Muslims, the sources told CNN.
She said the police and security services were doing "a good job" when the tempo of attacks is increasing, and had foiled five terror plots in the past three months.
Exxon Mobil secures exploration acreage in Equatorial Guinea
The production-sharing contract with Exxon is for a block next to the Zafiro field, operated by the USA oil supermajor. Recall that Exxon Mobil already operates Zafiro field, the largest oil producing field in Equatorial Guinea.
He was reported to counter-terrorism authorities in July a year ago after a "violent scuffle" with a member of an anti-extremism organisation.
Twelve other men arrested in the early stages of the investigation have all been released without charge.
As more details on Butt continue to emerge, one of his former acquaintances revealed that he had previously reported him to the police after he became concerned about his friend's extremist views. Search warrants allowed them to search the premises and the computers of individuals British security services believed were potentially unsafe, as a result of information from their network of informants and the monitoring of social media.
"Many of us in the British Muslim community have been demanding action against these extremists to no avail".
- The reason armed police were so quick to react to the attack was a mobile field unit of armed officers happened to be positioned nearby.
Meanwhile, The brother of Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi has been released by the United Kingdom police.
