Turkey's parliament is expected to fast-track a draft bill on Wednesday that would allow its troops to be deployed to a Turkish military base in Qatar, Reuters reported.

On Monday, five Arab countries - Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Yemen - cut ties with Qatar, accusing Doha of supporting terrorist groups and backing groups that create trouble in their countries.
Doha's foreign minister on June 9 called the sanctions imposed by other Arab states an "unjust siege" which violates global law, and called for dialogue between the two sides to resolve the dispute.
Erdogan stood to defend Qatar on Tuesday, saying he intends to "develop" ties with the embattled Persian Gulf state hit by sanctions from Saudi Arabia and its allies.
A Qatari official had no immediate comment on the designations but said that Qatar adheres to United Nations Security Council resolutions on countering terrorism including eradicating sources of financing for terrorism.
"I'd like to say that we don't find sanctions against Qatar right", Erdogan said at the gathering in Turkish capital, Ankara.

Turkey on Wednesday branded as "unconstructive" a strong US House of Representatives resolution condemning clashes between Turkish security personnel and demonstrators during a visit to Washington by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
While Turkey helps rebels trying to oust President Bashar al-Assad, Tehran is a regime ally with Moscow and provides Assad with military support.
Turkey signed a troop deployment deal with Qatar in April 2016 and now Parliament has given approval for immediate deployment of Turkish troops inside Qatari soil.
Turkey already sent around 100 troops to the Al Rayyan Air Base in Qatar in October 2015.
Turkey and Qatar have developed close ties over the years and reached an agreement in 2014 to set up a Turkish military base in the tiny Gulf nation.
A Turkish delegation would go to Qatar in the coming days to assess the situation at the base, where about 90 Turkish soldiers are now based, it said.
