The team announced the move on its website.

The Cleveland Browns have parted ways with former Ohio State safety Tyvis Powell.

We have waived DB Tyvis Powell.

Before being signed as an undrafted free agent in Seattle, Powell played college football at The Ohio State University.

Powell still supported a Buckeyes group event and threw out the first pitch at Friday night's game once a rain delay was lifted shortly before 8 p.m. ET.

She also said the European Union should commit to reaching a trade deal with the Mercosur bloc of South American countries. Merkel said such compromises would have to be carefully negotiated and would likely be painful for both sides.

Despite being released earlier in the day, Powell still threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

However, the Browns claimed him off waivers less than a month later, providing what seemed like a dream scenario for the local star to come home and earn a spot on a rebuilding roster.

During his time with the Seahawks, Powell appeared in eight games, playing exclusively on special teams, making a total of three tackles.

Powell was claimed by the Browns on February 6 after spending his rookie season with the Seahawks, appearing in eight games for Seattle. The Browns were not aware of this, so the timing is just unintentionally awkward.
