What a president says and does is news-particularly when a president talks about what he's doing, has done, or plans to do.
What doesn't matter is whether he says it or tweets it.
In the poll, 69 percent of registered voters said Trump tweets too much, up 13 points from a similar survey in December.
No one would question whether the media should report that.
A new Morning Consult/Politico poll found that Trump's tweets, which have come fast and loose practically every morning since the president returned from overseas, are increasingly a problem with American voters. Any infrastructure headlines were quickly pushed to the back burner as the president's own comments diverged to topics he found more interesting.
Or, at least, that is what the current White House classification of those digital missives are, for now.
Let's follow that to its logical conclusion. "It would most likely be outside the White House".
The White House has accused Democrats of being "OBSTRUCTIONISTS!"
Third London attacker had been detained en route for Syria, reports say
Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera said Zaghba was born in Fez in January 1995 to a Moroccan father and Italian mother. In a letter posted outside his gym, the Ummah Fitness Centre said staff would "help the police in any way we can".
Spicer just handed attorneys who may argue that case a win. For example, Trump tweeted on Monday that his controversial executive order which barred travel from several Muslim-majority was, in fact, a "travel ban". "I see this more as a client complaining about his lawyer".
Actually, it was already on the hook before Spicer confirmed Trump's tweets speak for the White House.
Of course, Trump's staffers and aides and secretaries have backtracked, contradicted, and immediately abandoned their official statements before.
The president acknowledged the pressure to curb his Twitter use in a series of tweets Tuesday, although he appeared to blame the push as a result of the mainstream media. "Maybe we'd have a different type of vigilance", she told "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie on Monday.
When Grenell wrote, "Breaking: DC reporters are NOT tweeting the line where Comey destroys their anonymous sourced narratives", Trump Jr. added: "I wonder why that is???" Over the weekend, Trump tweeted after the recent London terrorist act, criticizing a statement by the London Mayor.
The White House press corps also wanted to know if the tweets were officials statements. "I can do messages around the media and get my word out, the way I mean my word", he told the Christian Broadcasting Network at the end of January.
"A Congress that, by January 2019, might not be under full Republican control", he noted. The entire White House. Despite bipartisan complaints about his continued 140-character habit, Trump has persisted in making his views known on social media. Since that's not going to happen, his staff is pressuring the media to ignore Trump's tweets. They are officially official.
