Petr Cech: 'Arsenal's top-four hopes are all but over'

Arsenal legend Lee Dixon has slammed a number of members from Arsene Wenger's squad for allegedly ignoring supporters after the side's 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

Goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane ensured that not only did the bragging rights go to Spurs but also guaranteed that the Lilywhites would finish above their north London neighbours in the Premier League table for the first time in 22 years.

Indeed, the Gunners are now sixth in the table and six points adrift of the top four with five games left to play.

"I'm not surprised because we worked very hard and wanted to win so bad", Wanyama told Sky Sports News HQ, speaking at a Tottenham Foundation StubHub event.

Spurs now have an impressive 17-point lead over their neighbours and they still remain in the hunt for title glory, albeit Chelsea remain favourites as they have a four-point advantage with four games left to play.

"Obviously we are very disappointed because it's a north London derby, it means a lot to the fans and it meant a lot to the club, to us. We needed three points and in the end we have none".

"Our target is to play for titles, so we are disappointed with our season because we aren't playing for a (league) title", he explained.

EU demands urgent talks with Washington over airline laptop ban
Authorities reportedly would institute the ban because of concerns that a bomb or explosive device could be concealed in a laptop. The move would extend a current ban on such devices on flights to the US from 10 airports in North Africa and the Middle East.

With four matches remaining in the title race, Pochettino's side can close the gap to Chelsea to one point if they win at West Ham on Friday night.

When asked if Spurs can catch Chelsea, the Tottenham boss replied: "I think we are still in the race".

Rooney is the first player ever to score 20 penalties for Manchester United in the Premier League. "On another day we could have scored a couple more so, all in all, it's a great performance".

After the match, Alli tweeted that Tottenham now "own" North London, but plenty of Arsenal fans disagreed.

"I think they are lucky that Mousa was not there because if Mousa was there it would be different - it could have been even better". We knew we had to focus. You never know. We hope to continue the winning streak and see what happens.

"We can say we're more mature than last season".
