The Packers chose Yancey with pick No. 175 overall after trading back three spots. Green Bay also booted UDFA Don Jackson, who rushed for 32 yards in limited action when the team was severely depleted at RB a year ago. The Packers like Williams' strong lower body and ability to make tackles.
One of the benefits of going to the Packers is the knowledge that Jones will be on a team that has Aaron Rodgers and believes that it should be a playoff team every year.
With the second of their two fourth-round draft picks, the Packers picked up a running back. "He is 5'9-1/2" and 208 pounds and finished top three at the Combine in the short shuttle (4.20), long shuttle (11.53), and 3-cone (6.82).
