US President Donald Trump missed the first White House Correspondents' Association dinner of his presidency but that didn't keep the night's entertainer, comedian Hasan Minhaj, from targeting him. Instead of attending, Trump elected to hold a rally in Pennsylvania commemorating his first 100 days in office.
While the annual gathering of journalists took place, Trump was "over 100 miles away" at rally in Pennsylvania to where he addressed the crowd saying, "There is no other place I would rather be".

Towards the end of his almost hour-long speech Mr Trump read the lyrics of a song by Al Wilson called "The snake", as he had repeatedly done during the campaign. "We will not fail, we will never fail, we are Americans and the future belongs to us".
