Tour de France champion Chris Froome said on Tuesday that he had his bike written off by an impatient driver in a hit-and-run incident.
Chris Froome tweeted a photo of his ruined bike after a drive in France "rammed" into the cyclist on the pavement.
"Just got rammed on objective by an impatient driver who followed me onto the pavement!" the 31-year-old wrote.

He didn't appear to have been hurt, but said that his bike had been "totaled". He is now in training for next month's Critérium du Dauphiné having opted out of the Giro d'Italia.
Froome is expected to ride in this year's Tour de France, as he looks to secure a fourth title.
