Letourneau to join Bellator in flyweight division

According to the ever-reliable Ariel Helwani, the rising MMA promotion has officially picked up former UFC strawweight title challenger Valérie Létourneau.

The key detail of Letourneau's move to Bellator is that she will be able to compete in the 125-pound flyweight division, a division the UFC does not now have for women.

MMAjunkie today confirmed the news with a Bellator official.

She lost by unanimous decision to the champion by unanimous decision though and has since added a further two losses to her record against Joanne Calderwood and Viviane Pereira, which signaled an end to her time in the UFC. Bader won the fight via split decision. She made the move down to strawweight at UFC 186, beating TUF 18 runner-up Jessica Rakoczy by unanimous decision.

Davis and Bader first met at UFC on FOX 14 in January 2015 where Bader walked away with a split-decision victory. She will compete in the organization's women's flyweight division.

Flaws the Cleveland Cavaliers Showed in Their First Round Sweep
The Thunder said Westbrook joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only players to claim three consecutive playoff triple-doubles. In the third quarter of today's game, the Cavaliers outscored the Pacers by five as they marched to victory in Indiana.

Letourneau was never shy about discussing her cut to strawweight being hard and damaging to her body.

While the last three Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events have somehow avoided being bitten by the injury bug, Bellator MMA's biggest fight card of the year has not been as fortunate.

In February, it was revealed Letourneau was no longer with the UFC.

After losing to Bader, Davis signed with Bellator and he has since rattled off four straight victories including wins over Emmanuel Newton, Francis Carmont, Muhammed Lawal and Liam McGeary.
