First daughter Ivanka Trump discussed female entrepreneurship, her father and feminism at the W20 Summit in Berlin on Tuesday, joining a panel that included German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Netherlands' Queen Maxima.

Moderators were quick to take note of the reaction, though, and interrupted Ivanka Trump. The coverage began when she stepped off a United Airlines flight from Newark, N.J., at Berlin's Tegel Airport and followed her to the conference, a visit to the US embassy as well as to a training center and the Holocaust memorial in the heart of Berlin.

"I want my children to live in a world where every country and its leaders pledge to ensure a genocide like the Holocaust will never happen again".

She said her father "encouraged me and enabled me to thrive".

Ivanka Trump dismissed the idea that her father was influenced in his decision to authorize a strike against Syria because of her reaction to the chemical attack there days prior that killed dozens. She acknowledged that her new official role is "quite new to".

Ivanka Trump says she's still "rather unfamiliar" with the role of first daughter and is stressing that, as a White House adviser, she doesn't represent her business. During Merkel's visit to Washington in March, she organized a discussion with the German leader, her father, and American and German executives about how companies can better train workers.

Speaking on her first overseas mission as the First Daughter, the 35-year-old was asked straight up by moderator Miriam Meckel what exactly she does at the White House.

"I do label myself a feminist and I think of that in very broad terms.I think of that as believing in the social, political and economic equality for all genders", she said.

Trump wants tax plan to cut corporate rate to 15 percent
Reconciliation requires only a simple majority of votes, but the legislation can not increase the deficit over a ten year period. The administration has started working with House and Senate committees "as we try and build some momentum for this tax plan".

Ivanka Trump is visiting a training center in Berlin run by German industrial conglomerate Siemens.

The president's daughter was booed when she mentioned the president's name before sharing a warm handshake with Merkel during a panel discussion at the Women's 20 Summit in Berlin at the start of a jam-packed one-day tour after being "directly invited" by Merkel last month.

President Trump tweeted that article Tuesday, adding: "Proud of @IvankaTrump for her leadership on these important issues".

Trump has been criticised over his attitude to women, especially after a tape of him making obscene remarks was released during the presidential campaign past year.

She added that her own personal experience and the fact that "thousands" of women have worked with and for Mr Trump for decades in the private sector "are a testament to his belief and solid conviction in the potential of women and their ability to do the job as well as any man". "I grew up in a house where there was no barriers to what I could accomplish beyond my own perseverance and my own tenacity".

Trump said she was "humbled" by the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to participate in the discussion, and hoped to bring "the knowledge and advice" gleaned from the event "back to both my father and the president".

Ivanka Trump also planned to visit the German capital's memorial to the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis.
