Coates is facing his first challenge as president of the Australian Olympic Committee in 27 years, with 1996 Olympic field hockey gold medalist Danni Roche running against him in a May 6 ballot.
It came after Coates confirmed to insidethegames earlier this month that a complaint had been made against a member of staff following reports of a dispute between De Jong and Tancred.
The AOC is set to hold a phone hook up from 6pm.
Longtime media and communications director Mike Tancred has denied the allegations made by former AOC chief executive Fiona de Jong but said Wednesday he would step down until the matter has been resolved.
Coates, a 66-year-old lawyer who leads the IOC's Coordination Commission for the Tokyo 2020 Games and has been president of the Court of Arbitration for Sport since 2011, was elected as AOC president in 1990 and has not faced any challenges since.
She writes of a "culture of bullying" at the AOC, and said that in her 12 years at the body, she was aware of at least 12 complaints related to bullying. She told local media the AOC was dragging its feet on an investigation into her complaint.

Mike Tancred was accused of workplace bullying and intimidation by former CEO Fiona de Jong and a number of other staffers.
The suggestions from Coates that he is a victim in a campaign created to remove from from the helm comes prior to a "crisis meeting" of the AOC tomorrow.
Coates said an AOC executive meeting that has been called for this week would be a "sensible discussion" about the issues.
"There is clearly a coordinated and sadly vindictive campaign to damage me personally, and to tarnish all that has been achieved at the AOC", Coates said in the letter.
This is a time of great turmoil for the Australian Olympic Committee.
It details how her complaint about Tancred was submitted to AOC President John Coates on December 16, but has not yet been acted upon. She has promised to take a fraction of the $700,000 salary earned by Coates.
