It seems like a remarkable coincidence that the approval for these trademarks occurred on the same day that she said in on a meeting between President Xi Jinping of China and Donald Trump at Trump's Florida Mar-a-Lago resort.
The brand, which is still owned by Ivanka, who now also holds an official White House role, not only hit record sales this year, but saw its U.S. imports, most of which came from China, increase 166% in 2016.
According to a new poll released by Quinnipiac University on Wednesday, the majority of Americans think Ivanka Trump's White House role is inappropriate, with 53 percent of respondents saying it's not appropriate for either her or her husband to play a significant role in the administration. The fact that multiple China trademarks were awarded to Ivanka Trump at the China and United States summit at Trump's hotel at Mar-a-Lago screams potential corruption.
She now has 16 registered trademarks in China, with more than 30 pending applications.
China also recently granted preliminary approvals for 35 Trump-related trademarks for the Trump Organization, covering its mining, construction and hospitality businesses.
Sales of Ivanka's brands spiked up by 240 percent from the previous year on February 7, the day before President Donald Trump complained on Twitter than Nordstrom was being unfair with his daughter for dropping Ivanka's brands. They are also covered by the Constitution's emoluments clause barring federal officials from accepting "any present, emolument, office or title of any kind whatever from any king, prince or foreign state".
Her lawyer, Jamie Gorelick noted that Ivanka resigned from running the business and put it in trust, adding, "Ivanka has had no involvement with trademark applications submitted by the business".
For that, she may still need the brand her father built.
Trump has always been conducting a corporate two-step, trying to build her own global brand as she has helped push her father's name into new parts of the world.

Globally, the company has more than 180 pending and registered trademarks in countries including Canada, India, Japan, Israel, Mexico, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, as well as the US and Europe, public records show.
The new trademark applications seek the right to put Ivanka's name on lingerie in the USA, baby clothes in the Philippines, handbags in Puerto Rico and perfume in Canada, among a host of other things.
Now that she is serving in the White House in an unprecedented position, Ivanka is benefiting from loose or nonexistent accountability mechanisms.
"I have heard the concerns some have with my advising the president in my personal capacity while voluntarily complying with all ethics rules", Ivanka Trump said in a statement on March 29.
