US won't draw red line on Korean Peninsula nuclear issue: White House

Spicer landed in hot water Tuesday when he attacked Syrian butcher Bashar Assad for using chemical weapons by arguing that "someone as despicable as Hitler. didn't even sink to using chemical weapons". Oh say did you see...the First Lady nudge her husband during the national anthem?

Stern played sound bites of Spicer's comments on his Sirius XM show on Wednesday.

Spicer said that the president had "a good meeting" with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Mar-a-Lago, "and the results of that are paying off".

'Spicer managed to make Assad look good.

Stern questioned how Spicer could "not know that Hitler marched his own people ... to concentration camps and turned on chemical gas".

'The guy's just not informed, and it's kind of embarrassing - it's just embarrassing.

Comparing tragedies distracts from solutions

'It was somewhat remarkable that a guy this high up in the administration wouldn't know this. But it's entertaining as hell.

He added: 'If you're looking for ratings and you're looking for comedy, there's nothing better than this'.

During the presidential campaign, Trump criticized Obama's government for talking about an eventual offensive by the Iraqi government, with USA support, to recapture the northern city of Mosul from Islamic State forces. In August 2015, Stern predicted on his show that Trump would become the Republican nominee because "people dig him". Spicer later apologized for his gaffes.

"But I think that the U.S. has been clear that we want to resolve this issue through the peaceful denuclearization of the Korean peninsula".

The envoy also voiced strong opposition to the UN Security Council meeting on the North Korean nuclear issue that will be chaired by U.S. Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson later this month.
