Stephens reportedly ordered a 20-piece chicken McNugget and a large fry.

Stephens had been on the run from law enforcement since Sunday, when he posted several disturbing videos on Facebook, including one of him shooting and killing 74-year-old Robert Godwin after Godwin left an Easter meal with his family.

Acting on a tip from the McDonald's employee, Pennsylvania State Police spotted Stephens leaving the restaurant in Erie and went after him, bumping his auto to try to get it to stop, authorities said.

State police continue to work with federal and OH authorities, trying to build a timeline of the last few days in the life of Steve Stephens. Steve Stephens, 37, was the alleged shooter, and posted video of the killing on Facebook.

Mr Godwin did not seem to recognise the name.

Stephens in Facebook videos before and after the killing mentioned gambling and financial difficulties as reasons that he "snapped" and was looking for someone to kill.

One of Mr Godwin's daughters, Debbie Godwin, said she wished Stephens had been captured.

Serena is Pregnant, May Be Out for Rest of Tennis Season
Serena will miss the rest of the 2017 season but her spokeswoman said she intends to return to the tennis court in 2018. A spokesperson for the tennis player has confirmed that she and fiancé Alexis Ohanian are expecting their first child.

She said that it was her slain father who taught her, through the example of his life, how to forgive.

Cleveland Police officials released this photo of Steve Stephens on April 16, 2017.

Lane told CNN affiliate WJW she was devastated the victim said her name before he was shot.

"We are going to work on building common ground, not just getting more opinions out there", Zuckerberg said. "And that's been hard", she said. But Stephens did not wait, he said.

After the fatal shooting of the self-taught mechanic and grandfather of 14, authorities nationwide scrambled for two days to find Stephens.

The employee took Stephens' money and waited for him to drive up to the next window before calling the police, DuCharme said. As his vehicle was spinning out of control, Stephens pulled a pistol and shot himself in the head, according to police.

He added: "There are a lot of things about this that we don't know".
