Blackhawks aim to get around blocked shots in Game 3

The Blackhawks' defensemen can create more of these opportunities if they find ways to get shots around the Predators' defense.

Kasperi Kapanen scored his second goal of the game at 11:53 of the second overtime and Toronto defeated Washington to even their best-of-seven series at one game apiece. "So we all know it doesn't matter if you have a lead or you're down, you've got to take it game by game". Defensively, the Nashville Predators are allowing 2.7 goals per game and are killing 80.9 percent of their opponents power plays.

A large portion of the current roster went through that experience against the Ducks and want to make sure they don't squander their series lead against the Blackhawks in the same way.

On the other side of the ice, the Hawks will look to rebound. The game was out of reach with most of the third period to play. "Now we go to Toronto with the mindset that we can play a hard, road, gritty style of game". Anaheim now has a 2-0 lead in their series.

An effort such as this isn't representative of a veteran team that's won three Stanley Cups since 2010.

The Senators came back from a 3-1 deficit with a two-goal third period to force overtime. Quenneville has been flipping Ryan Hartman and Nick Schmaltz up and down the lines in hopes of getting something generated in the first two games with so far no result.

However, North Korea on Saturday warned that it is "prepared" to respond to any nuclear attack in kind, AFP reported. North Korean soldiers are facing the death penalty after spreading a joke comparing Kim Jong-un to a kindergartner.

It' was a rough night to be a Blackhawks fan on Saturday.

Combine the Preds' proof of concept dealing with the Blackhawks with the fact that Chicago will have to win at least two games in Bridgestone Arena, where the Predators are 81-32-19 since 2014-15, and this might well be the year the Predators slay the dragon that has tormented the Western Conference, lo these many years. On Thursday, Toews didn't record a single shot on goal and attempted jus two shots, both which were blocked. Rinne has done an incredible job at stifling the few chances Chicago does get. As for goaltending, Pekka Rinne has been cool, calm, collected and in control, and luck has begun to follow (see: goalposts). Game 2 saw Nashville get offense from all over the depth chart. "At the end of the day, it has to be energy, speed and just that competitive nature has to kick in right away and we can't wait for them to wake us up". Nashville's top line delivered the lone goal, with Viktor Arvidsson converting on a pass from Filip Forsberg. In his 32 appearances, he has statistically been better than Crawford with a better overall save percentage (0.924 vs. 0.918) and even-strength save percentage (0.932 to 0.928).

The Nashville Predators jumped in front of shots and got in the passing lanes for most of the night.

Toews' game obviously isn't all about goals, but he has provided scoring for the Blackhawks when they've been successful in the playoffs. The goalie also logged assists on two of Nashville's five goals in the game-two blowout - Number four and five in his playoff career.

This will be a best-of-seven game series.

That said, none of this matters when the puck drops for game three.
