Westbrook only played the first half of Oklahoma City's 111-105 loss Wednesday night, but because of the unique circumstances, he was in a good mood after the game.

Westbrook, who has set a new National Basketball Association record for triple-double in a season and is on course for the MVP award, was rested for the first time this term.

Before that, however, "The Big O" and Westbrook will be in the same building.

Oscar Robertson plans to attend Wednesday night's regular-season finale between the Thunder and the Denver Nuggets, where he will get to see Thunder guard Russell Westbrook play in person.

Robertson said earlier in the season he was rooting for Westbrook to break his triple-double mark, and he wrote a piece for The Undefeated congratulating Westbrook for the accomplishment earlier this week. I think that what he has done has been historic in nature.

Known for his relentless style and frenetic energy, Westbrook was one of six players to start every game this season. And I say congratulations again, and I only have one more thing to say: "MVP!"

Analysts say the political crisis is making it hard to reform the economy, improve social services and fight crime. Hundreds of boisterous EFF supporters bussed in shouted "Zuma must go!".

Robertson addressed the crowd by saying "When Russell was on this journey, I felt that I just had to be here". He added, "It's just outstanding what he has done and the way he did it".

Karl-Anthony Towns had 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Andrew Wiggins overcame a 1-for-11 start to finish with 18 points for the Minnesota.

"It's changed now", Robertson said in March. Robertson set the previous record of 41 for the Cincinnati Royals during the 1961-62 season.

Westbrook is averaging 31.9 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists in 80 games this season.

"I think when you think of Oscar Robertson, everyone thinks of the triple-doubles", Donovan said.
