Former New York Giants wide receiver Louis Murphy, who spent the 2013 season with Big Blue, was arrested at Tampa International Airport and charged with a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon. He was booked and released just over three hours later on $2,000 bond. Airport security discovered Murphy had a Glock 23 pistol loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition in his backpack when he attempted to go through a checkpoint, according to ESPN.
Carrying a concealed firearm is a third-degree felony in the state of Florida, which carries a maximum prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $5,000.
Murphy made headlines last July when he found himself locked in the Flagler Museum after a long night of drinking with his friends at a wedding.

Trump had promised during the campaign to stop what he called the theft of American jobs by China. Xi also invited Trump to visit China later this year, and Trump accepted the invitation, he said.
Murphy, a St. Petersburg native, spent his last National Football League stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2014-16) but missed the 2016 season recovering from a knee injury sustained the previous year. He then broke a window to escape the museum.
Murphy appeared in 17 games for Tampa Bay over two seasons (2014-15) with 41 catches for 578 yards and two touchdowns. The team later released him in November.
