"And after that, we're going to start on tax reform and infrastructure".

President Donald Trump on Wednesday said changes to the United States healthcare system were still needed to ensure a "great tax reform" bill.

Following the republican's inability to repeal and replace Obamacare, a lot of analysts are wondering how they will be able to tackle other big promises such as tax reform and increased infrastructure spending. The two measures, dubbed the American Health Care Act, were pulled from the floor last minute as opposition to them mounted among House Republicans.

Although tax reform is critical to economic growth and businesses large and small, the president said "hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars" would be saved on reforming the health care, which would help with tax reform.

Ahmadinejad defiantly registers for upcoming Iranian presidential election
Ahmadinejad and his former deputy Hamid Baqaee signed up at Iran's Interior Ministry in Tehran on Wednesday to run for president. Iran has a term limit of two four-year terms but a person can be eligible again for elections after four years out of office.

But the president insisted that the savings from health care reform would be essential to moving on to taxes. "It's been very much misreported that we failed with health care", he said.

"You know if you look at the kind of numbers we're talking about, that's all going back into the taxes and we have to do healthcare first to pick up additional money so that we get great tax reform", Trump said. And all of that saving goes into the tax.

Trump also wants to streamline the income tax system, cut federal regulations, reduce corporate income tax and add new taxes to prod companies to keep or move production to the United States.
