As the Washington Redskins offense ran back onto the field, ready to take the victory formation, quarterback Dwayne Haskins was taking a selfie with a fan.

National Football League cameras captured Haskins jumping for joy and slinging water around once Moreau nabbed the pick.

The Redskins now stand at 2-9 on the season, while Haskins' record as an National Football League starter improves to 1-2. After battling the entire game, Haskins led his team down the field before kicker Dustin Hopkins made a 39-yard field goal with 16 seconds remaining.

A former Washington Redskins quarterback did not approve that decision.

Interim coach Bill Callahan had to call on backup Case Keenum to kneel out the final seconds of the game.

"I was so hype, I think I broke a water bottle", Haskins said during a post-game interview. I think he thought it was over. It's more your actions than your words: "How you conduct yourself, the little things you do, the study habits you have, the way you communicate with your teammates, the way you walk off the field". We'll address that. I'm just pleased we won the game. "I'm glad we won".

He told reporters: "I look up and we were in victory (formation) and said, 'Oh, I thought the game was over with already.' But I'll get it next time". But Theismann wasn't a fan of what happened Sunday, calling the selfie "unprofessional and wrong".

Consequently, Haskins had handed by way of the stands taking a selfie with a fan to have a good time. Right tackle Morgan Moses came to Haskins' defense and didn't think it was that big of a deal.

But Haskins was needed for one more snap after corner Fabian Moreau intercepted his second pass of the day.
