Gerald McCoy intrigued by Browns, may make a visit

McCoy really enjoyed his visit to Cleveland on Thursday night and Friday, and left here with a great vibe about the Browns and their future, a source told me. Even in his early 30s, Suh is still a dominant force along the defensive line; he finished last season with 59 tackles, 19 quarterback hits and four sacks. McCoy is scheduled to visit the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday and has several other teams interested in signing him. After parting ways with McCoy, Tampa Bay signed Ndamukong Suh to a one-year deal worth up to $10 million. That's too high a price for general manager John Dorsey to pay for what would be a rotational defensive tackle. However, it isn't clear if Indy is willing to be the top spender for the 31-year-old. Dorsey, speaking Thursday after organized team activities, said he will continue to "turn over every rock".

The Patriots, Colts and Browns reportedly have interest in McCoy. The Oklahoma product is a six-time Pro Bowler with 54.5 sacks and 296 tackles racked up over his career.

During his visit, he'll get to meet new Cleveland coach Freddie Kitchens as well as co-ordinator Steve Wilks.

"I think a lot of Gerald, " Monken said Wednesday before the fifth OTA.

The Browns' offensive coordinator, Todd Monken, spent three seasons in Tampa running the Bucs' offense. Parting ways with a player and person such as Gerald is one of the toughest responsibilities of this job.
