The Samsung Galaxy Fold phone is shown on a screen at Samsung Electronics Co Ltd's Unpacked event in San Francisco, California, U.S., February 20, 2019.

The report says that Samsung will pinpoint a new launch timeframe that should happen with the coming weeks.

Remember last week when several Galaxy Fold review units suffered from broken internal displays? Some said the phone's inside screens stopped working.

An early inspection showed there could be issues when pressure is put on the exposed areas of the hinges that open and close the phone, Samsung said in a statement announcing the launch delay on Monday.

As SamMobile reports, several events have been postponed, including ones in Shanghai and Hong Kong, although Samsung is promising that the April 26 Fold launch in the United States will go ahead as planned.
