State police said Thomas Wayne Markle Jr. was visibly intoxicated when he was pulled over at about 1:30 a.m. Friday in Josephine County, in southwestern Oregon.

The Associated Press claims Thomas Wayne Markle Jr was "visibly intoxicated" when pulled over in his vehicle at 1.30am on Friday morning - and was taken directly to a "detox centre".

Her reason for leaving the high-profile position reportedly had to do with the challenging effects of Meghan's "wish to be seen as 'one of the people.'" "His BAC [Blood Alcohol content] was.11 percent, .08 is the legal limit", Captain Tim Fox said.

The blonde bodyguard was put in the spotlight earlier during Markle and Prince Harry's trip to Australia, Fiji and Tonga, when she was forced to intervene due to crowd management concerns.
