The Democrat socialist has not responded to explain why she did not offer worker's compensation between March and April of past year.

Do you think it's fair for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to refer to herself as a "Bronx girl" despite graduating from Yorktown High School?

. For example, during a recent "60 Minutes" interview, she explained that being "morally right" is more important than being factually accurate.

Democrats and Republicans alike have accused Ocasio-Cortez of hypocrisy.

"I'm sure Ms. Cortez means well, but there's nearly an outstanding rule: Don't attack your own people", Representative Emmanuel Cleaver (D., Mo.) told Politico.

She also called on other congressional lawmakers to increase pay for their interns and staffers, saying she spoke to several staff members who were upset about how little they made for how hard they worked. "We just don't need sniping in our Democratic Caucus".

Ocasio-Cortez, a first time candidate, delivered a shocking upset previous year when she ousted 10-term incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in New York's 14th congressional district.

But in a new Politico report, some of Ocasio-Cortez's fellow Democrats similarly expressed a distaste for her bucking tradition and speaking straight when asked pointed questions, regardless of whose feathers are rustled.

And three times she declined to say whether she would remain a member of the Government if it opted for a no-deal Brexit. London mayor Sadiq Khan suggested May should step down and call a general election if she loses next week's vote.

Yet, according to Walsh, the one that looks bad in the article is the Dems taking swipes at Ocasio-Cortez.

"She's new here, feeling her way around", Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-OR) said.

"Some moderate Democrats have privately raised concerns that they'll be targeted by the former bartender-turned-progressive icon, whose willingness to challenge her party's establishment propelled her to Congress and the national spotlight", Politico said.

The Politico report said some Democrats compare Ocasio-Cortez' prolific use of Twitter to President Trump's regular posts on social media.

"The restaurant I used to work at is closing its doors", she wrote in a tweet.

"People are afraid of her", said one senior Democratic aide.
