Apple and Samsung sign deal to combine some of their services

LAS VEGAS-Apple has for years carefully maintained a walled garden for its streaming video features and services. With this, the user can take advantage to expand any size they desire, even at an irregular 9x3, 1x7 or 5x1 screen sizes.

In a first such collaboration between two arch rivals, Samsung has announced it will offer Apple iTunes movies and TV shows and Apple AirPlay 2 support on 2019 Smart TV models beginning this spring.

That means Samsung televisions will now give users the ability to access the iTunes library, buy or rent movies and TV shows from the store, and watch all the movies and TV shows they've already bought from Apple in the past.

"With services a key part of the Apple flywheel and one of the only silver linings in an otherwise dark period of growth, Cook & Co. need to double down on content and distribution partners going forward", according to Dan Ives, an analyst with Wedbush Securities.

Samsung revealed during CES 2019 The Wall 2019, a new 219-inch modular Micro LED screen that can be modified and customized for each user.

Clearly this is quite the deal of Samsung and Apple with the likelihood of a lot of money changing hands for access to be allowed.

Michigan Losses 2nd Coach To Ohio State
Though Ohio State fans would gladly remind you that the Buckeyes put up 62 points in a 23-point win in November. Hired last offseason by Jim Harbaugh, he coached the Viper position and was one of the team's key recruiters.

The new TVs will also come with the previously announced Google Assistant and Alexa support, as well as content playback from Apple's iTunes service, as reported earlier.

On top of that, Samsung will also support AirPlay 2 for their Smart TVs in 190 countries worldwide.

Update: Sony is also making some of its TVs compatible with AirPlay 2.

The addition of iTunes on Samsung TVs comes just weeks after Apple opened up Apple Music to the Amazon Echo.

Samsung is taking the micro LED display technology with its unique modular screens.

The news follows an unexpected profit warning from Apple, which blamed a slowdown in China for a $5bn (£4bn) reduction in the company's expected revenue, as worldwide predictions show customers are likely to purchase fewer iPhones, Macs and iPads than previous estimates had suggested. It is not even possible to do on Apple TV yet (ask Siri on iPhone or HomePod to play video on Apple TV).

These services were so far limited to Apple products and the company has a small market share in India.
