Massive internet outage impacting CenturyLink customers

Denver, Seattle, Boise, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Phoenix were some of the cities to have confirmed issues with internet, television, phone, and home security services, Scripps station KIVI reported.

At about 3 p.m., CenturyLink tweeted it had "made progress in restoring services across the network in the last several hours" but was "focused on resolving remaining issues".

CenturyLink expects the service to be restored within hours.

Customers from NY to California reported outages.

The county's 311 service appeared to be unaffected, the agency said, and its 911 text message service also still functions.

CRESA is the Clark County Regional Emergency Services Agency, charged with providing 911 services for the area.
