A win for PSG on Wednesday would keep them in contention to finish top of Group C as Liverpool and Napoli - both ahead of the Ligue 1 giants pre-match - will meet in the final round of fixtures when Les Parisiens travel to Belgrade to take on Red Star.

"It's much more hard to prepare when my players don't know their opponents", Klopp said.

"There were no mind games", he said. "They will have watched 500,000 YouTube videos of Mbappe!"

"Sadio was on the plane, I then got off the plane and took an hour-and-a-half to get to the press conference".

However, PSG manager Thomas Tuchel said afterwards he was hopeful they can both play in what could prove to be a must-win tie for the French champions.

European competition has typically been where PSG struggle, but Klopp is wary not to allow the hosts to settle into a similar dominance at home, and wants his side to be "ugly".

According to L'Équipe (via Sports Mole), PSG will make a move for Fabinho in the January transfer window.

"Not like in terms of who plays, in the mental aspect, maybe it can happen, you feel like five per cent too sure that you're the better side, and the first shot is in from the other side".

"What do I expect? We are going to be fearless in a very hard game", Klopp said. They are of a very high level.

The PSG vs Liverpool game will be a must-win game for the Paris outfit and a loss for them would mean that they might have to play in the Europa League next year (given Napoli beat Red Star).

When asked what Tuchel could do to replicate the Serbian side's success, Klopp resorted to a bit of humour to deflect the question.

"The players know more about these players' individual strengths than I do", he said. "Maybe you can ask me for advice on how to win finals.that would be amusing as well, eh?"
