Disney Reveals Names of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Attractions

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, puts guests in the role of smugglers and members of the flight crew aboard Han Solo's rickety but highly modified spaceship - a YT-1300 Corellian light freighter. John Williams is composing music for the new lands, and you can see and hear him working on it below. Taking place on a First Order starship, it puts riders in the middle of an epic battle between between the First Order and the Resistance.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run attraction is expected to have a capacity of around 1,800 guests an hour when running a peak efficiency.

The other major ride at Galaxy's Edge is called "Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance".

Also revealed: teaser clips on the two new attractions from Galaxy's Edge.

The videos were originally released by Disney Parks Chairman Bob Chapek at D23's Destination D event at the Walt Disney World Resort this weekend. Plus, a new look at Galaxy's Edge's first rides, along with their official names. Disney also offered another tease of the unnamed Star Wars hotel now being built at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is set to debut in 2019. There are also looks at the alien world of Batuu and the Black Spire trading outpost, which together make up the bulk of the themed Star Wars area.
