While there were some troubling signs when it comes to allowing big plays, especially in the run game, the Seahawks' defense gave the team a chance to win.

With their most recent loss the Seahawks are now 4-4 and are back at a.500 winning percentage. "I don't want to speak for Melvin, but if he's feeling well I know he wants to play". This play design is great versus Cover 3 defenses with three deep defenders, and since the Chargers primarily play.

The Chargers' Caleb Sturgis missed two extra points and a field goal in the team's 25-17 win over the Seahawks on Sunday. It all came down to one last play, an untimed down from the 6, after a pass interference penalty on the Chargers put the ball at the 1, and then a false start on Seattle's J.R. Carroll indicated that this injury is different than what bothered him back in October, but given that Carson never carried more than 150 times in either college season at Oklahoma State, it's fair to wonder whether he can sustain the workload of a starting running back given his punishing, unrelentingly physical run style. Davis finished with 62 rushing yards on 15 carries, while Penny only had 11 on four attempts.

McDougald didn't play in the second half with a knee injury that Carroll said was "pretty sore" on Monday. Fluker didn't play late in the game due to the injury and was replaced by C Joey Hunt playing out of position.
