On Saturday night, Pete Davidson performed on Saturday Night Live, discussing the upcoming mid-term elections in the U.S., when he briefly brought up to topic of his ex-fiance, Ariana Grande.

The Saturday Night Live comedian got on air with freshly dyed hair as the show returned from a two-week hiatus.

Ariana Grande's new single "Thank U, Next" arrived by surprise on Saturday night - perfectly timed to the evening's episode of Saturday Night Live, which featured her ex-fiance Pete Davidson.

After weighing in on several of the candidates, Davidson wrapped up the brief segment by addressing fans who have been asking about the split.

Over the course of Thursday and Friday she continued to tweet "thank u, next", as well as rhymes which appeared to be (and in fact are) lyrics.

Netanyahu, Sisi call on United States to back MBS on Khashoggi killing
Khashoggi disappeared October 2 after visiting the consulate in Istanbul to get documents he needed to marry his Turkish fiancee. On Wednesday, France's Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said Khashoggi's death was a "crime" and "odious".

"But the truth is, it's nobody's business and sometimes things just don't work out".

Pete Davidson, Big Sean and Ricky Alvarez are all mentioned and she also pays tribute to Mac Miller, who she calls an "angel". She also confirmed that the new song will be the last on the album.

She previously tweeted that phrase after railing against her ex-fiancé, Pete Davidson, after he cracked a joke about their relationship in an SNL promo.

"Thank U, Next" is an absolute bop! Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm.

"I'm still a great song though", Davidson concludes, referencing Grande's song "Pete Davidson", from her last LP Sweetener.
