Now, with Diablo III having expanded to consoles-including, as of today, Nintendo Switch-Blizzard has its eyes set on what might be its most hard adaptation of the action RPG yet: mobile. Blizzard has hinted at this several times, but concluding your big opening ceremony with a Diablo mobile game seems like a misstep to us. His goal is to gather the fragments of the corrupted Worldstone and use them to resurrect Diablo. Diablo Immortal will recreate the franchise's traditional multiplayer point and click action gameplay with optimizations for mobile touchscreen controls.

The boss fights look interesting, the levels look more dynamic than ever before, and, to be frank, I like the Diablo Immortal aesthetic more than I like Diablo 3's aesthetic.

Pre-registration links are already live at Google Play, and the game's listing confirms the game's inclusion of six familiar-sounding character classes (Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard) who can join forces in online co-op dungeon-crawling.

"Our mobile phones are super powerful super computers", Blizzard's Wyatt Cheng said.

Diablo III's power-building system is flexible enough for an afternoon or a full season.
