It's powered by an eight-core processor, consisting of a 2.2GHz quad-core CPU and a 1.8GHz quad-core CPU. Majority are camera-related and that was to be expected from this device.

For performance, the Galaxy A9 will rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of the base model. Looking at its hardware specifications coupled with its monstrous quad-camera setup, don't expect it to come cheap. "It boasts a 3,800mAh battery, and has a 6.3" Full HD+, Super AMOLED display. Up front is a 24MP f/2.0 camera for selfies. It measures 162.50 x 77.00 x 7.80 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 183.00 grams.

There's not long to go now before the official unveiling of the Galaxy A9 - what else do you reckon it'll have in store? It also happens to be the world's first smartphone with four cameras at the back. The rear cameras are arranged vertically on the left-hand side, adjacent to the fingerprint reader.

The device comes in Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink colours and a 3D Glass-curved back. The handset was unveiled today by Samsung, and we can tell you that on the rear of the device you'll find an 8MP Ultra Wide Camera, a 10MP Telephoto Camera, a 24MP Primary Camera, and a 5MP Depth Camera.

Samsung has not revealed anything about the A9 (2018) but had teased about it on social media with an image that shows "4X Fun" written on it along with "Let the fun times begin".
