Mr Avenatti declined to expand on the allegation in an interview on ABC's The View, saying he would not add detail beyond what was in the statement.

Kavanaugh's calendar does appear to list activities with two people who Ford said were at the gathering where she says she was assaulted - Mark Judge and Patrick J. Smyth, who was known as P.J. She has said Judge was in the room when it happened. "And the truth is that I have never sexually assaulted anyone - not in high school, not in college, not ever".
Swetnick made her allegations in a sworn statement that was given to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Christine Blasey Ford has accused Kavanaugh of trying to force himself on her during a party while she was 15 and he was 17.

Merkley, who called Kavanaugh's nomination "an assault on the separation of powers", said he will be filing the lawsuit sometime on Wednesday in federal court in Washington, D.C., and that he wants the court to block a vote until all documents are handed over.
