Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has denied Mesut Ozil missed Saturday's victory over West Ham because of a row in training. The teams were tied 2-2 for most of the second half until Chelsea's Marco Alonso scored the game-winner in the 81st minute. Emery evidently is unafraid about clashing with the biggest personalities at Arsenal. Alternatively, Emery could also give Lucas Torreira his first Arsenal start as a defensive midfielder.

City, who won their first two games of the season in fine style, again largely controlled affairs against Championship winners Wolves at Molineux but still had to come from behind to earn a point against Nuno Espirito Santo's impressive side.

Ozil was missing for Arsenal, with illness supposedly the reason why - the seventh time since January 2017 he has been missing from a match day squad for that reason.

Felipe Anderson continued to probe, flashing agonisingly across the face of goal in injury-time, meaning Arsenal nerves only settled when Welbeck swivelled to dispatch Bellerin's pass.

Visiting West Ham are also yet to pick up a point since Manuel Pellegrini took over at the London Stadium.

But Root, asked if he wanted Cook, his predecessor as captain, to play in the rest of the series, replied: "Yes, 100 percent". Kohli's win-loss ratio of 3.14 is the third-best among all captains who have led in a minimum of 35 matches.

And finally, Petr Cech will likely continue in goal, with Emery preferring a standard, four-person defence to counter the threat of West Ham's attackers. Aaron Ramsey replaces the German playmaker in the side.

Although its a third defeat in a row, West Ham can count themselves unlucky to not come away from the Emirates with something.

Will Jack Wilshere prove a point to former club Arsenal donning the West Ham shirt?

"I think they all know we are making too many changes and in the first three games, we haven't had the results that we wanted, but in every game we are improving". Henrikh Mkhitaryan struggled to get into the match for the most part.

The deal to sign him for Lorient was one driven by the existing staff of the club rather than the new manager, the Spaniard confessed. The England worldwide improved the Gunners after being brought on off the bench and could well play a greater role in the team in the coming weeks.
