The new update to the Clock app brings Spotify integration, which lets you choose any song you want as the alarm sound.

This Spotify Clock feature is being rolled out globally throughout the week, and there are plans for YouTube music to be integrated in future.

That said, you'll be getting the feature as long as both Google Clock and Spotify apps are up to date, and you're using Android 5.0 Lollipop or newer.

In an update that is rolling out earlier this week, you'll be able to connect Spotify to the Clock app.

Google has announced that the Google Clock app has been integrated with Spotify. Swipe over to that tab, and you can select whichever songs or playlists you'd like to wake up to. If your struggles are down to motivation, Google has something that can fit the bill for you. Once done, you can head over to the "Alarm Sound" section where you will find two tabs - Sounds and Spotify.

Once you turn off the alarm, you'll see an option to "Continue Playing." offering a seamless way to continue listening and set you up for a productive day with Spotify.

Many Android devices come with the Google Clock app preinstalled, and it can also be downloaded from the Google Play store.

Cook dismissed the idea that Apple has to steal users from Spotify (which has 83 million paid subscribers) to compete, instead suggesting that the streaming music ecosystem still has room to grow. According to the report, YouTube Music will also be adding a quality selection option in the next month or so, enabling them to choose high-quality songs, for example.
